Sky-Tec - Starter Adapter - New - 55267

Sky-Tec factory new starter adapters for Continental engines. The starter motor bolts to the adapter and connects to an input shaft. This shaft has a worm gear attached that turns a larger brass gear. The brass gear has a large spring attached that compresses on the aircraft starter drive shaft turning it to start the aircraft engine.When the engine starts, the starter is released and the spring opens allowing the shaft to turn freely within the spring.
